![]() He likely won’t get much run with the Nets, but injuries or trades could open up a spot. He finishes strong at the rim and crashes the glass well. He’s quick for his size and very active on the defensive end. During the Summer League, he displayed a good stroke from downtown on both catch-and-shoot and pick-and-pop actions. Jalen Wilson (F) - Wilson is 22 years old, 6-foot-8, 225 pounds and was selected with the 51st overall pick. ![]() TLC, you reading this? Seriously, though, I think Scrubb could do some things if given the opportunity. A part of me wrote this section so that I could say that this Scrubb is no scrub. When doubled, he doesn’t panic and finds the open guy. Regardless, he went for it, and I respect that. He can get up and flush it down when the opportunity presents itself, although Bilal Coulibaly Mutombo’d him once. He can shoot from downtown, pop in the mid-range and finish strong with both hands at the rim. He’s 6-foot-5, 220 pounds and is a smooth lefty on the offensive end. That said, I enjoyed watching him play this summer. He’s been around the G League circuit and won’t crack the rotation for Boston this season. Jay Scrubb (G) - Scrubb was selected in the second round of the 2020 NBA Draft.Walsh also moves well without the ball and I could see him becoming a significant part of the rotation due to his size, defense and ability to be a good connector piece. He keeps his head up and is able to change his decision at the last moment when he sees an open man. Walsh also attacked closeouts well and can finish strong at the rim, but what most impressed me was his passing vision and ability. He had some dribble hand off (DHO) 3s and curled off screens on the wing to pop mid-range jumpers. ![]() There were some bad misses, but he looked comfortable and didn’t hesitate when the shot was there on catch-and-shoot opportunities. In five Summer League games, Walsh attempted 5.4 treys per game and converted at a 40% clip. The shooting was a question mark, which is one of the reasons why he fell to the second round. He was an excellent defender in college and showed off his defensive ability during the Summer League. Jordan Walsh (F) - Walsh is 6-foot-7, 205 pounds and has a 36-inch vertical jump and massive 7-foot-2 wingspan. He’s 23 years old and could be slotted right in. He shot 40% from downtown at Penn State last season and converted 37% of his attempts in four Summer League games. He has a 35-inch vertical jump with a 6-foot-10 wingspan. Lundy has good size at 6-foot-6 and 220 pounds. He won’t crack the rotation from the outset but there’s a chance he could get run later in the season. Seth Lundy (G) - Lundy was selected with the 16th pick in the second round and signed to a two-way contract.Bufkin is buried on the depth chart and he needs reps for development, so the G League looks to be where Bufkin will be spending most of his time this season. He was brutally inefficient, though, converting 31% of his field goal attempts and 17% from downtown in four games. Bufkin had some nice hesitation moves to get defenders off-balance and set up teammates. ![]() He smoothly glides to the rim, can stop and pop in the mid-range and hit step-back shots from downtown. He hit a game-winner, showed his defensive chops and ability to score from all levels.
